Account Executive – Field (Southern California)

Remote, US – Must reside in California.
ExploreLearning|Learning A-Z is hiring an Account Executive for the Southern California territory to support our mission by achieving revenue targets and driving growth within your designated territory.
Responsibilities

Use sales techniques to identify and pursue new and expansion sales opportunities in the territory through phone calls, in‑person presentations, web‑based demonstrations, and email campaigns.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date sales forecasting, pipeline, and customer database records.
Provide sales quotes and proposals to customers.
Keep industry knowledge current and bring expertise to customer interactions.
Improve selling skills and product knowledge by attending all sales meetings and training sessions.
Use Salesforce.com CRM and other data management tools to track all active opportunities, updating daily, weekly, and monthly.
Collaborate with the manager and internal partners to build strategies for goal achievement and territory management.
Serve as a teammate and peer to other Account Executive – Field roles in the region.
Support regional marketing activities to generate leads and opportunities.
Attend regional and national conferences as agreed with your manager.
Consistently achieve predetermined territory goals.
Demonstrate professionalism across various work environments.
Travel up to 50% of the time during peak selling season.
Stay informed of funding opportunities in the assigned territory and keep districts and management updated on critical deadlines.
Deliver complete and accurate paperwork in a timely manner.
Requirements

Proven ability to demonstrate and sell an online digital math, science, and literacy product/solution.
Experience in public speaking with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience using database management systems; Salesforce.com is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience using online meeting technology.
Skilled at generating new business prospects and markets.
Valid driver’s license.
Prior experience selling to school‑ and district‑level literacy curriculum decision‑makers and influencers in the elementary K‑12 market.
Experience using Salesforce.com for forecasting and tracking opportunities.
Preferred Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree required; an education or related background is preferred.
Minimum 3+ years of success in K‑12 field sales with demonstrated success in math, science, or literacy curriculum and educational technology sales.
Possess state and district level K‑12 and/or Technology contacts in the territory.
Knowledge of online curriculum products and services.
Hungry, Humble, and Smart.
