Overview
We are seeking an ambitious User Experience / UX Designer to create the next generation of user experiences across a wide variety of products including enterprise software, mobile apps, and smart home device UI. This position will be located at the Global Experience Design Studio in Golden Valley, Minnesota, 10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. Our team is nimble and agile with limited hierarchy and lots of ownership. We’re looking for someone who is driven, passionate about user‑centric design, and willing to get their hands dirty.
Responsibilities
- Create fresh engaging experiences for software, mobile apps, and on-device UI.
- Design for a multi‑touchpoint experience across software, mobile apps, and on‑device interfaces.
- Create wireframes and experience flow diagrams documenting the user journey and articulating the experience.
- Deliver design specification and supporting design documentation to developers.
- Collaborate with other designers, product managers, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Apply visual design treatments and patterns to new design projects.
- Partner with product management and developers to find creative solutions to complex problems.
- Participate in user research including usability tests, qualitative research, ethnography, and design evaluation.
- Advocate and drive user‑centered design principles across products and features.
- Have a clear understanding of how software, embedded UI, and hardware integrate and how the experience should reflect this interaction.
- Participate in creative concept processes and contribute to project vision and roadmap.
- Stay abreast of and have a passion for customer experience and interaction design trends.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise perspective and direction on new interactive technologies innovations as they apply to creating user experiences.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in UX design, interaction design, software and app design, information architecture, or a similar position.
- Expertise in digital design tools, such as Adobe XD.
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS and other presentation layer technologies such as Flutter.
- Portfolio of relevant work for review is required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience creating fully responsive digital design solutions for web and mobile.
- Experience participating in user research and usability testing.
- Experience working on large‑scale enterprise software.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams in a collaborative AGILE software development environment.
- Experience with physical product design, embedded hardware UI, lights and sound UI.
- Demonstrated understanding of user‑centered design principles, careful attention to detail, and ability to navigate multiple product requirements.
- Strong ability to conceptualize ideas and communicate visually.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills.

Location & Compensation
Location: Golden Valley, Minnesota (Hybrid). Salary range: $106,911–$182,049 annually.
