Nebraska Public Media is building a new daily talk show designed to inform, engage, and connect Nebraskans through timely conversations on news, public affairs, culture, education, health, and issues affecting communities across the state. This show will be produced for both radio and digital platforms, with a focus on strong storytelling, thoughtful interviews, audience engagement, and content that reflects the interests and needs of Nebraska audiences.
To support this new initiative, Nebraska Public Media is hiring a team of content professionals who will help shape, produce, host, report, and distribute daily talk show content.
The Talk Show Senior Producer/Host is responsible for hosting and producing daily talk show on Nebraska Public Media Radio network and digital platforms on a variety of subjects which may include hard news, health, education, and culture. Leads the editorial direction of the show, in consultation with Radio Network Director and News Director. Responsible for developing ideas, expert guests, sound and style of the show. Supervises associates responsible for the talk show and related content.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, broadcasting or related field and three (3) years of content creation experience in a professional communications or journalism related industry.
- Additional years of relevant experience or completed relevant education may substitute for required education/experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Experience training, editing and mentoring production staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in journalism, communications, broadcasting, or related field
- Five (5) years of experience in a professional media position with supervisory experience.
- Producing content for multiple content platforms.
- Skill with audio production techniques and procedures.
Posted Salary
$55,000/yr. minimum
