The Role and What You’ll Do
As a Senior Art Director, you are highly skilled in the latest tools and programs and have a deep understanding of the specific design demands of both traditional, digital and experiential media. You strive to produce innovative and memorable cross‑channel work that continues to make our agency, and the brands we work for, stand out and be talked about in the industry and around the proverbial water cooler. This position requires a passionate and talented Senior Art Director, with a sharp eye for attention to detail, who will create and execute across a wide variety of creative mediums with a primary focus on building buzzworthy experiential programs. You are obsessed with every facet of the guest journey and geek out over choreographing how programming, environment, and design come together. You pride yourself on delivering unforgettable, award‑winning experiences even under the tightest timelines. You are a conceptual and experiential creative athlete, with a proven track record in hospitality‑focused activations for sporting events and beyond. Your expertise spans the full spectrum of experience creation, including spatial and environmental design, programming, digital and social integrations, and live guest engagement (motion design a plus). Key Responsibilities
Ensure consistency and efficacy of design throughout all creative and art direction, from concept to end product, with the ability to self‑manage multiple projects and tight timelines.
Work within the client’s established brand guidelines.
Leverage talent for design and concepting to contribute to work that solves for consumer needs and business goals.
Successfully communicate creative ideas, confidently presenting your creative to leadership and stakeholders (and occasionally clients) by articulating and rationalizing creative decisions with strategic insights.
Collaborate with internal teams such as media, strategists, and creative leads to test a multitude of creative iterations and apply learnings to evolving best practices.
Stay consistently relevant and up‑to‑date on all marketing trends and culture to bring fresh ideas and share them with peers and the broader team.
Appraise and edit your own work.
Work closely with project managers and account teams across the life span of a project.
Bring to life ideas for new business pitches and existing clients across presentations and production.
Work effectively with all stakeholders to complete projects within timelines and budget parameters.
Give direction to creatives from leadership.
Show expert‑level proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, Slack and Google Slides.
Qualifications
5-10 years of art‑direction experience within an ad agency or similar setting.
Degree in graphic or environmental design, marketing/communication design or a related field.
A keen understanding of user experience and environmental design (3‑D skills a plus).
Be fearless and not afraid to fail.
Natural curiosity for the unique, buzz‑worthy and culturally relevant, with willingness to push forward brave, new ideas.
The optimism to think bigger, dig deeper, and passion to do better.
The ability to adapt to new ideas, processes, and business problems with ease and enthusiasm.
A professional attitude and openness to feedback that commands respect of supervisors and colleagues.
An appreciation for the relationship between copy and visual elements, and great design in general.
Strong attention to detail.
Cross‑functional design and conceptual experience necessary.
Passionate desire to be part of an agency built for marketing today.
Love of data and results, and the gamification of creative to keep pushing for record‑breaking results.
Digital portfolio of drool‑worthy advertising design, campaign concepts and relevant creative endeavors.
Ability to think strategically, conceptualize and see ideas through to polished execution.
Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights/weekends.
