The Opportunity
Organizational success relies on intentional, clear, and proactive communication—especially at the executive level. As an executive communications professional, you craft narratives that resonate with high‑level stakeholders, inform key audiences, and support leadership goals. We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Executive Communications Specialist to align executive messaging with organizational priorities and deliver results.

As a Strategic Communications Specialist, you will directly support senior leaders by developing communication strategies, plans, and polished deliverables tailored to various audiences. Your expertise includes creating impactful executive‑level content such as speeches, talking points, briefings, memos, and leadership communications. You will take ownership of building and implementing enterprise‑level communications strategies while maintaining messaging matrices to ensure consistent alignment.

In addition to developing top‑notch deliverables, you’ll support senior leaders with in‑person engagements, including conferences, industry events, and strategic meetings at the client’s request. Whether preparing talking points, ensuring messaging aligns with organizational priorities, or providing on‑site support, your role will be critical in amplifying leadership effectiveness. With a knack for narrative and meticulous attention to detail, you’ll manage responsibilities in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments. Additionally, your ability to travel extensively will be pivotal in ensuring seamless communication and coordination on‑site.

You Have

5+ years of experience in a strategic communications or executive communications role

5+ years of experience creating polished deliverables such as talking points, briefings, speeches, memos, background papers, and event preparation materials

Experience supporting senior leadership with in‑person engagements at conferences, industry events, and strategic meetings

Experience designing and implementing enterprise‑level communication strategies, working directly with senior leaders, and supporting executive‑level engagement

Knowledge of Microsoft 365 products

Ability to develop and maintain a messaging matrix to align organizational communications

Ability to work independently, proactively solve problems, and consistently deliver high‑quality products in an adaptable and dynamic environment

Ability to travel up to 75% of the time

Secret clearance

Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have

Experience supporting senior leaders in the Department of Defense or other government agencies

Knowledge of emerging communication technologies and the application of AI tools to enhance strategic communications

Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Master’s degree

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.

Work Model

Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
