Responsibilities
Meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering a great customer experience
Be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise
Follow instructions for specific requests from customers, while maintaining safety requirements
Analyze reports and make decisions about purchasing of inventory, arrangement of merchandise, and sales trends to meet Scheels standards
Stock shelves, tables, and counters with merchandise; merchandise to Scheels standards and set up advertising, signs, and displays
Communicate professionally with vendors and/or outside sales representatives
Train associates on proper use and basic knowledge of merchandise
Prepare for and facilitate required product knowledge and sales meetings
Attend weekly required sales and product knowledge training meetings
Maintain professional appearance and attitude; contribute to a positive team atmosphere and follow Scheels policies and procedures
Read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions; write routine reports and correspondence
Perform basic math and use units of currency, measurements and percentages
Present information effectively in one-on-one or small group settings
Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and explain all benefits

Education & Experience
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical & Lifting Requirements
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work may involve exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Safety procedures should be followed to minimize the risk of injury.
Wage
Wage: $47,000 annually plus incentives in the first year with potential for more based on sales.
Schedule
Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9am and 9pm, Monday through Saturday, 10am-6pm Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays. Average hours per week: 42. Typically includes an every-other-weekend rotation, a day off during the week, and 1-2 close nights per week.
