Role Overview The editor/writer is responsible for researching, editing, and writing educational product content under the direction of the Subject Lead Editor, facilitating the completion of projects through collaboration and meeting all deadlines.
Responsibilities Research product content using biblical principles and educational practices, completing research by stated deadlines.
Edit existing content and write new material based on approved production overviews.
Provide clear design and illustration expectations, submit content for production per scheduled deadlines.
Collaborate with partners: fellow editors, product managers, managing editors, and production colleagues, ensuring clear communication of deadlines and project information.
Follow job bags through production, achieving quality in the fewest rounds possible, and adhere to production schedule.
Qualifications Education: BS in Education preferred; MS in Education preferred.
Work experience: 2+ years of teaching required; 5+ years as an editor and 5+ years of teaching preferred.
Physical requirements and skills: communication, delegating tasks, detail‑oriented, educational materials development, knowledge of Abeka materials, Microsoft Office, operating office equipment, organized, stamina for typical office functions, team development.
