About the Role:

As a Marketing & Communication Designer, you will help shape how Luckett & Farley communicates its expertise, culture, and value across proposals, presentations, digital platforms, and branded communications. This role combines communication design, content development, and business development support in a collaborative professional services environment.
The ideal candidate is a strong visual communicator who understands that effective communication depends on both thoughtful design and well-organized content. You are comfortable transforming complex information into clear, compelling narratives and balancing creativity with responsiveness, consistency, and execution.
Success in this role requires strong design fundamentals, sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Create visually compelling communication materials including proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, project sheets, social media graphics, digital content, and branded collateral.
Support the preparation and coordination of proposals, qualifications, and presentations in response to RFPs/RFQs.
Translate technical and strategic information into clear visual narratives that communicate the firm’s expertise and value.
Create, edit, and manage marketing content including project sheets, staff bios, case studies, presentations, website updates, and social media content.
Review and refine written content to improve clarity, structure, consistency, and communication effectiveness.
Help establish, refine, and consistently execute communication templates and branded design systems across print and digital platforms.
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the firm’s visual brand expression through thoughtful application of typography, layout, hierarchy, imagery, and messaging.
Coordinate project deadlines, content inputs, and deliverables for marketing and business development initiatives.
Proactively gather information, follow up with contributors, and help advance projects to meet deadlines and communication objectives.
Support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives through visual communication and messaging support.
Assist with planning and logistics for events, conferences, and client engagement activities.
Conduct research on markets, clients, competitors, and pursuit opportunities to support business development efforts.
Maintain and organize marketing collateral, image libraries, templates, and CRM data (HubSpot experience preferred).
Collaborate with and support external PR and communication partners on media relations, thought leadership, and content initiatives.
Key Success Factors:
Strong visual communication and information design skills with a sophisticated understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, and brand consistency.
Formal training and demonstrated capability in graphic or communication design.
Ability to engage thoughtfully with written content and contribute to the clarity, organization, and effectiveness of communication materials.
Ability to think beyond individual deliverables and contribute to scalable communication systems and templates.
Resourceful self-starter with the ability to gather information, coordinate stakeholders, and independently advance projects in deadline-driven environments.
Excellent organizational, time management, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Confidence communicating with professionals across multiple disciplines and levels of the organization.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing polished, accurate, high-quality work.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (especially InDesign), Microsoft Office Suite, and presentation design.
Working knowledge of digital marketing, social media platforms, and content management systems.
Familiarity with CRM platforms, particularly HubSpot, is preferred.
Experience using AI-assisted tools to support communication development, content refinement, and workflow efficiency is a plus.
Ideal Education, Registrations and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communication design, or a related visual communication discipline.
4–8 years of professional experience in communication design, marketing, or business development support, preferably within the AEC industry or a related professional services environment.
Portfolio demonstrating strong communication design, presentation design, information hierarchy, and brand application skills required.
