Paid Media Ownership Role

JOB SUMMARY This is a full-channel paid media ownership role. You will plan, build, and manage Google Ads, Local Services Ads (LSA), Meta, YouTube, and programmatic campaigns for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical across Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati. You will report to the Digital Marketing Manager and work closely with the Director of Marketing on campaign strategy and budget allocation.
There is no agency layer. You own the accounts, you own the numbers, and you are responsible for connecting spend to booked jobs. The prior paid media function ran through an outside agency. You are replacing that entirely and building the in-house capability we need to scale.
What you will own:
GOOGLE ADS + LSA
Build and manage Google Search campaigns across all three service lines and three markets
Own the LSA account: profile management, bid strategy, lead disputes, and service area configuration
Proactively maintain the full portfolio of LSA certificates of insurance, tracking expiration dates and updating credentials before they lapse
Collaborate with the web team to develop high-converting landing pages aligned with paid media campaigns, optimizing messaging, UX/UI, and conversion funnels for performance
Develop and maintain a keyword strategy that reflects seasonal demand and service line priorities
META
Take full ownership of Meta Ads Manager: campaign builds, audience segmentation, creative briefing, and optimization
Work with the Digital Content Specialist to align creative assets with campaign objectives
Develop retargeting campaigns and always-on service demand efforts alongside seasonal promotions
YOUTUBE AND PROGRAMMATIC
Build a YouTube advertising presence starting with HVAC and Plumbing awareness and retargeting
Evaluate and test programmatic display opportunities as budget and performance allow
REPORTING AND ATTRIBUTION
Report campaign performance weekly using ServiceTitan Marketing Pro and Google Ads data
Connect paid media spend to booked jobs and track cost per lead and cost per acquired customer by trade and market
Coordinate with the Senior Developer on BI platform integration so paid media data surfaces correctly in the dashboard
Flag attribution gaps and actively work to close them
Own lead routing from all paid media sources into the CRM using Zapier or similar automation tools; ensure attribution is intact from click to booked job
What we are looking for:
REQUIRED
2 or more years of hands-on paid media management, including Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager
Demonstrated ability to manage LSA accounts or a clear understanding of how they work and a willingness to own them completely
Comfort working directly in ad platforms without an agency or account manager intermediary
Experience building and reading performance reports that connect spend to business outcomes
Strong organizational skills: this role manages multiple accounts, multiple markets, and multiple service lines simultaneously
Clear communicator who can explain what is working, what is not, and what you are going to do about it
PREFERRED
Home services, trades, or local service business experience
Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field service management platforms
Experience with Zapier or similar automation tools to connect paid media lead sources to CRM and attribution tracking
YouTube advertising or basic programmatic display experience
