Linney Display is offering an exciting opportunity to a placement student as a 3D Creative Designer to join our award-winning team.

Working from our Mansfield-based studio as part of a multi-discipline and energetic large design team, you will report to one of our experienced designers as your team leader. They will mentor and train you as well as assigning you live projects to work on.

As part of a vibrant studio team, you will learn crucial creative studio disciplines in your day-to-day working role.

At Linney, we develop displays that are innovative and eye-catching, while still cost-effective and compliant with brand and retailer guidelines.

Our working culture is hugely important to us, and teamwork is the key to our success. You will be working collaboratively alongside a diverse mix of 3D designers, graphic designers, engineers and project managers.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate who wants to gain experience with a team of like‑minded designers to create industry‑leading quality 3D visuals, working on a range of briefs from simple shelf trays to complex retail store environments.

Essential skills:

An interest in innovative ways to help brands increase their retail presence, developing vibrant in‑store designs and packaging

Excellent communication skills to liaise with engineering and sales teams to ensure designs adhere to client specification and retail guidelines

The ability to work in a fast‑paced studio environment and to pivot from job to job whilst providing legendary customer service

The ability to show and justify creative thinking through mood‑boards and scamps

A positive attitude to learning

3D modelling skills using 3ds Max, Cinema 4D and SketchUp

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign
