JOB GOAL :
Provides leadership and coordination for the Little Rock School District's comprehensive communications, branding, and marketing initiatives. This position is responsible for managing the implementation of a unified districtwide brand identity and ensuring consistency across all schools, departments, and communication platforms.
The Project Manager serves as the central point of coordination for marketing campaigns, digital communications, content development, and community engagement efforts. This role oversees timelines, vendors, internal teams, and cross-departmental stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and aligned with the District's strategic goals.
This position plays a critical role in strengthening the District's public image, increasing student enrollment, and enhancing engagement with families, staff, and the broader community.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve (12) Month (240 days) contract, Salary Range:110, $35,031 - $60,867 plus benefits package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based on experience.
FLSA: Exempt.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree preferred in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field;
3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, branding, or project management preferred
Demonstrated experience managing multi-platform marketing and/or branding campaigns
Experience working with vendors, agencies, or creative teams
Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of branding strategy, marketing principles, and/or campaign development
Proficiency with digital communication tools, analytics platforms, and/or content systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience in public education, government, or nonprofit communications preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the implementation of the districtwide branding strategy across all schools, departments, and communication channels.
Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and workflows for communications and marketing initiatives.
Coordinate and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, video, and community engagement efforts.
Serve as the primary liaison between communications staff, district leadership, schools, and external vendors.
Ensure consistent application of brand standards across all District communications and materials.
Manage relationships, contracts, and deliverables with marketing agencies, consultants, and creative vendors.
Collaborate with District leaders and stakeholders to align communications projects with strategic priorities.
Work in conjunction with communications team to develop content across platforms, including websites, publications, social media, and digital communications.
Track, analyze, and report campaign performance metrics to inform strategy and improve effectiveness.
Provide front desk and switchboard support during staff absences and perform other duties as assigned.

Mental Functions, Physical Requirements, and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, go up and down stairs, operate foot and hand controls, use a telephone and write. Occasionally, the employee must lift and/or move up to twenty (20) or more pounds. This position requires accurate perception of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, handling and working with educational materials and/or objects, and providing oral information. Must have the ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period, and to be physically present and at assigned work, with only infrequent unexcused absences, during the contract year. Additional technical skills, knowledge, and abilities may be recommended by the immediate supervisor and approved by the Human Resources Director.
