Messaging Engagement Associate We are seeking a Messaging Engagement Associate to support audience engagement across social platforms and direct reader communication. This role sits at the intersection of journalism, audience strategy and community-building.
The ideal candidate has strong news instincts, understands how audiences interact with journalism in real time and is comfortable representing the publication in direct conversations with readers and subscribers.
About Level Three Labs, a fast-growing digital media company, is seeking a Messaging Engagement Associate to help us publish timely, high-impact journalism throughout the day across platforms. This role sits at the intersection of editorial, distribution and audience engagement, with a strong focus on speed, accuracy and platform-aware storytelling. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced news environment, has a strong editorial instinct, and understands how to tailor content for maximum visibility across channels.
Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day posting and engagement across select social platforms
Participate in direct audience outreach and reader conversations
Monitor breaking news and support timely, accurate social distribution
Identify audience trends, recurring questions and engagement opportunities
Coordinate with editorial and audience teams to maintain a consistent voice and tone
Qualifications Strong news judgment and interest in politics, policy, or public affairs journalism
Comfort engaging directly with audiences in a professional, conversational manner
Familiarity with major social platforms and messaging tools
Ability to work quickly and calmly in a fast-paced news environment
Excellent writing skills and strong attention to detail
Experience working in or alongside a newsroom, media organization or digital publishing environment
Other Skills Comfort creating or working with basic graphics or short-form video is a plus, but not required
