About the Company

Inline & Ice Warehouse is seeking a versatile Web Content Editor to create compelling product descriptions, engaging web content, and impactful social media content, with a strong emphasis on hockey. Extensive hockey knowledge is required.
Responsibilities

Web Content: Write original product descriptions that clearly communicate key features and benefits, align with brand voice and content guidelines, and reflect customer needs and expectations.
Research and document technical product details, including measurements and specifications, ensuring consistency and clarity.
Create and edit engaging website articles and written content to support the web content strategy, increase traffic, and enhance brand visibility.
Support website merchandising by organizing products within category and portal page structures, maintaining accurate listings, updating images, and ensuring an optimal online presentation.
Maintain ongoing product information, including categories, images, and display details, aligning with brand standards and user experience best practices.
Participate in video production tasks for the website, including planning, scripting, and on-camera involvement, as assigned.
Coordinate and source images and graphics for use across the website and digital platforms; collaborate with relevant departments for cohesive visuals.
Edit written content and provide feedback during creation of images, graphics, and videos to maintain quality and brand alignment.
Participate in and adhere to workflow processes using platforms such as Asana and Microsoft Teams to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
Support development and maintenance of online tools and customer-facing resources to improve usability and engagement.
Ensure materials meet content standards: address key information customers seek, apply SEO best practices, are engaging and error-free, reflect brand voice, use readable formatting, and meet deadlines.
Social Media Content: Develop unique, creative content that identifies trends to attract and grow target audiences; write scripts and appear in video content (how-to videos and product features).
Maintain social media project timelines and content calendars using Asana; collaborate with photo and video teams for cohesive brand messaging.
Engage with vendors, affiliates, and influencers to maximize reach and cross-promotional opportunities; manage contests and giveaways; respond to customer inquiries per company policies and brand voice.
Monitor and respond to customer inquiries and notify supervisors of issues requiring attention; demonstrate strong customer service skills in all digital interactions.
General: Oversee publishing and presentation of customer reviews; coordinate distribution of prizes and product samples; test products and provide feedback via website and video reviews; assess target customers and ensure content aligns with audience.
Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain understanding of products and brands; participate in vendor meetings and training; lead new product or category training as assigned.
Product Testing: Evaluate user experience and provide detailed feedback through the website or video reviews.
Requirements

Extensive hockey knowledge is required, including equipment, terminology, leagues, brands, and trends. Candidate should create authentic content for hockey players, parents, and fans across skill levels.
Proven ability to write clear, concise, engaging content for different audiences and platforms.
Strong grammar, proofreading, and editing skills with consistent tone and style.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new software.
Clear and professional communication; active listening; creative problem-solving; professional demeanor.
Ability to follow instructions, adapt to new circumstances, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively; maintain a positive work ethic and conduct; uphold Sports Warehouse policies and safety standards.
Other duties as necessary to support daily operations.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment

This position operates in a fast-paced professional office environment. It may require on-camera assignments and travel to off-site shooting locations. The role may involve testing products such as shoes and clothing.
