About the Role
Responsible for selling Canon's hardware and software technology-based solutions to companies within an assigned account list. This is a new business development role to develop the Salt Lake City territory.
Salt Lake City, UT is one of the most rapidly growing marketplaces in the country. This role requires you to live within a reasonable commuting distance to Salt Lake City, UT so that you can adequately execute your job responsibilities.
Your Impact
Develop strategies to penetrate accounts with key decision makers at medium to large business‑to‑business prospects, focusing on placing Canon equipment and solutions in new accounts.
Report customer activity to management, identifying customer requirements, competitive trends, and changing environments.
Develop strategic plans to address potential customer requirements on a local basis, including short‑term and long‑term goals.
Provide marketing, technical, and administrative support to named accounts' internal departments to ensure outstanding relations and excellent customer support.
Develop plans to introduce/place Canon technology, service, software, and third‑party solutions to address customer requirements.
Establish high‑level relationships with prospect base to enhance long‑term working partnerships.
Gain new market share through strategic prospecting and the ability to meet customer requirements by using all resources efficiently.
About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
Bachelor's degree required, plus 2‑3 years of business‑to‑business related experience.
Business‑to‑business outside sales experience preferred, with demonstrated success managing complex, long‑term sales cycles, including heavy equipment and phone‑based sales.
Strong communication skills and the desire to build solid working relationships with various businesses.
Interest in learning new technology in an evolving industry.
Hunter mentality to develop new business partnerships.
Ability to work autonomously and excellent time management skills.
Some travel required within local market, may include overnight travel; valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary.
We are providing the anticipated base salary range for this role: $60,000–$81,550 annually. This role is eligible for incentive compensation under the terms of an applicable plan and/or policy. Incentive compensation earnings vary by quota assigned. The role is also eligible for a transportation allowance.
