Genetec & Axis Video Management Systems Administrator Contract to Hire

POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a Video Systems Administrator to support and maintain our enterprise Video Management System (VMS) environment. This is NOT a traditional Systems Administrator role. The primary focus of this position is physical security technology, surveillance systems, video management systems, camera infrastructure, storage, and supporting technologies.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering Genetec Security Center, AXIS camera environments, and the infrastructure supporting large-scale CCTV deployments.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE Candidates should have experience in ALL or MOST of the following: • Genetec Security Center administration (ideally or something similar)

• Video Management Systems (VMS)

• CCTV surveillance systems

• AXIS camera administration

• Enterprise infrastructure support

• Windows Server environments

• Troubleshooting video, camera, and connectivity issues

• User administration and permissions management

• System monitoring and maintenance

Minimum requirements include: • 2+ years administering Genetec Security Center Enterprise OR similar VMS platforms

• 2+ years administering AXIS cameras OR comparable surveillance camera solutions

• 2+ years maintaining and troubleshooting VMS-related infrastructure

ACCEPTABLE VMS BACKGROUNDS Genetec is the preferred platform, but candidates with strong experience supporting the following may also be considered: • Genetec Security Center

• Milestone XProtect

• ExacqVision

• Avigilon

• Pelco

• Other enterprise CCTV/VMS platforms Candidates with direct Genetec administration experience will be prioritized above all others.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BE DOING • Administering Genetec Security Center

• Managing Directory, Archiver, Media Gateway, and Failover services

• Monitoring system health and storage utilization

• Configuring and troubleshooting surveillance cameras

• Supporting VMS servers and infrastructure

• Managing user access and permissions

• Assisting with surveillance system projects and upgrades

• Creating technical documentation

• Providing training to internal users

• Supporting after-hours issues when necessary

• Working closely with networking, server, and cybersecurity teams
