Primary Function
Under the mentorship of senior staff, you will learn to utilize fixed and portable audiovisual and multimedia production systems to facilitate and support in-person and hybrid conferences, meetings, and live productions for a global organization. This is an apprenticeship-style opportunity designed for the next generation of technical experts to build a career supporting world-class events.
Duties & Responsibilities
Systems Training & Support: Assist in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of professional AV systems, including Taiden conference systems, Crestron control, Telemetrics robotic cameras, and Yamaha audio consoles.
Live Event Assistance: Support live event coverage for high-profile gatherings attended by world leaders, learning to ensure seamless audio, video, and broadcast quality.
Field Deployment: Learn to configure and operate portable PA systems throughout the venue to support events of varying scales.
Speaker Support: Under guidance, operate teleprompting systems for keynote speakers, dignitaries, and panelists.
Global Communication Support: Assist in the setup and monitoring of simultaneous interpretation systems, including channel routing and interpreter booth coordination.
Hybrid Connectivity: Provide technical support for virtual and hybrid meetings on platforms like WebEx, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom, ensuring they integrate perfectly with in-room hardware.
Production Basics: Learn signal routing, camera control, and live switching for multi-camera productions.
Collaboration: Work alongside venue coordinators and interpreters to meet strict technical requirements.
Operational Discipline: Perform meticulous pre-event testing and post-event breakdowns.
Continuous Learning: Proactively adapt to new technologies as the venue undergoes hardware and software upgrades.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical Aptitude: Foundational knowledge of audio mixing, video switching, and signal flow.
Rapid Learner: Ability to quickly master professional equipment like conference microphones, routers, and interpretation gear.
AI Interest: A curious mindset regarding generative AI tools and how they can improve technical production workflows.
Cultural Intelligence: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work discreetly within sensitive, multi-cultural, and multilingual environments.
Composure: A calm, solutions-focused approach when working under pressure.
Professionalism: Ability to build productive relationships with team members, clients, and vendors.
Proactive Attitude: A willingness to be cross-trained in multiple positions and jump in wherever the team needs help.
Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as event schedules demand.
Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and stand for long periods.
Capable of working at heights with good balance.
Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Audio/Electronic Engineering, or a related field; OR completion of a technical school program with electronics training.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in the audiovisual field, with a strong desire to specialize in live event production.
Certifications: While not required for entry, a willingness to work toward CTS Certification is essential; we support all full-time employees in obtaining these credentials.
