Job Description
KTAZ Telemundo in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Multiplatform News Producer who can create news that appeals to both traditional Broadcast and new media audiences. The Multiplatform News Producer will be responsible for successfully coordinating and executing newscasts, special programs, and digital content.

Functions/Responsibilities

Overall production of daily news, special coverage, in‑depth stories, and other content for each newscast and online platforms.

Select, assign, write, and organize the flow of stories in the rundown, including headlines, cold opens, teasers, and reporter lead‑ins.

Communicate with all team members involved in each newscast.

Design newscasts to provide audiences with the most relevant content, following NBC/Telemundo Standards and Guidance in Journalism.

Coordinate live, fast‑paced shows with control room staff and field crew, including live shots and satellite remotes.

Take responsibility for actions, take risks for the team, and act as a team player.

Respond promptly and accurately to breaking news, managing time effectively.

Stay knowledgeable of daily news events, current events, and Latino audience insights.

Plan community and social story development.

Shoot, edit, and publish video clips.

Publish content on multiple digital platforms (web, mobile, social networks).

Collaborate with producers, Executive Producer, Managing Editor, and News Director on planning and coaching talent.

Contribute story ideas; participate in daily coverage decisions and editorial meetings.

Bring creativity into every newscast and use Telemundo’s tools and equipment to provide current, geographically diverse information.

Complete discrepancy reports with detail and accuracy.

File additional reports related to newscast production.

Understand and follow all Telemundo News standards and ethics.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

Fluency in Spanish and English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

2 to 4 years of News Producer experience.

Excellent news judgment, creative ideas, and writing skills.

Additional Job Requirements
Required On‑Site: This position is required to be performed full‑time from an NBCUniversal‑designated worksite.
