Position Summary
The Office of the President of the University of Georgia seeks an Executive Communications Manager whose responsibilities are centered on speech writing and coordination of presidential communications. The role includes composing remarks and briefings for a wide array of on‑and off‑campus engagements, drafting and supporting the development of the President’s Annual State of the University Address, generating a broad range of general and specialized correspondence, creating the quarterly President’s Report and bi‑weekly President’s Messages, managing the Office of the President website, drafting presidential proclamations, and executing special projects assigned by the Chief of Staff. Additional duties involve supervising a Graduate Assistant, coordinating with the Division of Marketing and Communications on press releases and website content, and collaborating with the Division of Development and Alumni Relations on donor correspondence and style guide maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and 5 years of professional experience.

Duties / Responsibilities
Speech writing and coordination of presidential communications, including general and specialized correspondence.
Prepare quarterly President’s Report and bi‑weekly President’s Messages.
Manage the Office of the President website.
Draft presidential proclamations and other miscellaneous writing assignments.
Draft and support development of the President’s Annual State of the University Address.
Coordinate closely with the Division of Marketing and Communications on press releases and website content.
Jointly supervise one graduate assistant who provides clerical support and oversees routine correspondence.
Collaborate with the Division of Development and Alumni Relations and other units on donor correspondence and maintain a style guide for their guidance.

Independence and proficiency with the inter‑office correspondence system.

Standard office environment.

Driving is not a responsibility of this position.

Position has security access to public safety and personnel records.
Position does not have operation, access, or control of financial resources or require a P-Card.
