A well-known specialty retail brand is looking for an Associate Product Developer to own the end-to-end sampling process across designated product categories. This is a hands‑on, cross‑functional role sitting within the Product Development team, working closely with Design, Merchandising, Raw Materials, and more.

What You’ll Do

Order and track sample yardage at a greige and color level within the PLM system

Own all sampling needs for assigned product categories, ensuring accurate and on‑time receipt of garment samples

Process vendor and supplier invoices for sample yardage and sample‑making costs

Keep consistent communication with vendors and suppliers, holding them to brand calendar timelines

Liaise between cross‑functional partners including Design, PD, Raw Materials, Print and Color, Marketing, and Merchandising

Attend weekly cross‑functional meetings and represent all sampling‑related topics

Maintain seasonal sample yardage cost and readiness reporting

Keep the seasonal sample tracker updated with readiness reporting ahead of key milestone meetings

Help build leadership dashboards with headlines and metrics for milestone meetings

Observe business processes, flag areas for improvement, and anticipate needs before they become problems

Manage physical samples: moving boxes (up to 30 lbs), hanging and arranging product, maneuvering rolling racks, packing samples for shipment

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Product Development or a related field, or equivalent experience

1‑3 years of related experience (recent grads with solid internship experience encouraged to apply)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Understanding of the product lifecycle in a retail setting

Basic garment construction knowledge

Basic PLM knowledge (Centric is a big plus)

Fabric knowledge is a plus

Ability to stay calm under pressure, juggle competing priorities, and be a genuine team player
