Maintenance Documentation Specialist (TPM/SAP)- Austin Industrial (Phoenix, AZ)

Job Summary Assists and supports the development and implementation of TPM and LEAN manufacturing practices, preventative maintenance packages in SAP, work instructions, job safety analysis, standard operating procedures, operator safety checks, equipment documentation, and LOTO procedures. This is a full‑time position working 40 hours per week with no per diem or relocation funding.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Familiarity with JIT, LEAN, TPM, Six‑S, and Six‑Sigma philosophies and practices.

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and other general programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Explorer, Photo Suite, and web tools; Typed at 40 WPM.

Coordinate with subcontractors and equipment owners to accomplish assigned projects and tasks.

Work with operator manuals, prints, procedures, and personnel to locate required information.

Create LOTO documents, PM task lists, and PM plans within SAP.

Technical background in electrical, mechanical, or related fields is a plus.

Proactive in tasks and projects while promoting efficiencies through time‑management techniques.

Familiarity with general hand tools and DVOMs and their safe use.

Experience working from a man‑lift to create and label pipes.

Willingness to perform other miscellaneous job‑related duties as required within skill sets.

Self‑motivated and self‑driven to accomplish quality tasks and assignments in a timely manner with little or no supervision.

Requirements

Associate’s degree from a two‑year college or technical school, four to five years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requires minimal supervision; capable of working independently and training others.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rate, ratio, percent, and graph interpretation.

Ability to solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization.

Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.

Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Must be able to climb ladders.

License – Valid Driver's License
