Help shape a growing movement at the intersection of women’s health, advocacy, research, and equity.
Mpowered Menopause is seeking a creative, mission-driven Social Media & Digital Communications Specialist to help amplify our voice, expand our digital reach, and build momentum for our annual Millions 4 Menopause (M4M) 5K fundraiser this fall.
Menopause impacts all women, yet menopause and midlife women’s health remain dramatically underfunded and underrecognized in research, healthcare, and public discourse. We are working to change that through awareness-building, community engagement, advocacy, and fundraising for research.
Last year, we launched our inaugural Millions 4 Menopause 5K. This year, we aim to significantly expand participation, visibility, and community engagement — and we’re looking for someone who wants to use their creativity and digital storytelling skills to help make that happen.
About the Role
We are a small, volunteer-run nonprofit with a passionate and collaborative team. We’re looking for someone who can help strengthen our digital presence, grow engagement, and translate complex issues into compelling, accessible, and “scroll-stopping” content.
This role offers meaningful creative ownership and flexibility. It is ideal for someone looking to build a portfolio while contributing to a cause that affects millions of women worldwide.

Increase audience engagement and supporter participation
Grow awareness of menopause equity and research funding gaps

Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a 5-month social media and content strategy leading up to and following the M4M 5K

Design branded Canva templates for posts, carousels, stories, and calls-to-action
Help elevate stories, educational content, fundraising messaging, and campaign milestones
Recommend strategies to increase engagement, followers, visibility, and campaign participation
Support campaign storytelling before, during, and after the Millions 4 Menopause 5K
Track basic engagement metrics and identify opportunities for growth and refinement
Create tools and systems that support long-term sustainability for a volunteer-run organization
