Role Overview

We are currently seeking a Social Media Specialist to join our Homes.com Marketing team based in Richmond, VA. This role is primarily B2B‑focused and is responsible for driving demand, engagement, and brand authority among real estate professional audiences, while playing a supporting role in broader consumer initiatives.

This Social Media Specialist blends content strategy, paid media execution, and performance optimization to position the brand as a trusted industry leader and generate high‑quality leads. The ideal candidate understands how to translate product value into compelling, platform‑native content that resonates with professionals, while maintaining alignment with larger brand campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

B2B Social Strategy and Audience Development – Owns the social strategy for B2B audiences – agents, brokers, and industry professionals

B2B Social Strategy and Audience Development – Define audience segments, needs, and messaging frameworks

B2B Social Strategy and Audience Development – Design and execute full‑funnel social programs

Organic Social – Develop and manage a social media content calendar aligned to product launches, campaigns, and sales priorities

Organic Social – Lead the development and oversight of content creation

Organic Social – Ensure content is platform‑native and tailored to professional audiences

Organic Social – Manage community engagement, including responding to comments and fostering conversation

Organic Social – Leverage social listening to identify industry trends and opportunities

Lead Generation and Mid‑Funnel Focus – Plan and execute paid social campaigns focused on lead generation, consideration/retargeting, content amplification

Lead Generation and Mid‑Funnel Focus – Develop audience strategies and segmentation

Lead Generation and Mid‑Funnel Focus – Continuously test and optimize toward efficiency and lead quality

Creative and Messaging Development – Partner with creative teams to develop B2B‑focused assets

Creative and Messaging Development – Translate product features into clear, compelling value propositions

Creative and Messaging Development – Guide creative development with platform‑specific best practices

Creative and Messaging Development – Build a testing roadmap across messaging, formats, and CTAs

Performance Analytics and Optimization – Track and report on social campaign performance

Performance Analytics and Optimization – Partner with analytics teams to evaluate lead quality and pipeline impact

Performance Analytics and Optimization – Translate insights into actionable optimizations across creative, targeting, and spend

Cross‑Functional Alignment – Partner closely with Sales teams to align on lead quality and feedback loops

Cross‑Functional Alignment – Partner with Product marketing to translate features into benefits

Cross‑Functional Alignment – Partner with Brand/consumer marketing to ensure consistency with broader campaigns

Platform and Industry Expertise – Stay current on ad products, platform updates and capabilities

How This Role Supports B2C – Extends consumer campaigns into mid‑ and lower‑funnel social environments

How This Role Supports B2C – Supports full‑funnel continuity across YouTube, social, and awareness campaigns

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit, in‑person college/university.

A track record of commitment to prior employers.

3-4 years in social media marketing, with B2B experience preferred.

Experience running paid social campaigns focused on lead generation.

Ability to balance creative storytelling with performance marketing.

Experience with LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, and familiarity with Reddit and TikTok campaign management.

Analytical mindset with the ability to connect media performance to business outcomes.

Strong collaboration skills across marketing, sales, and product teams.

Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to think strategically and act proactively.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Ability to build a strong, engaged community across social media platforms.

Ability to develop and implement effective employee advocacy programs.

Experience with TikTok and/or Sprout Social.

Experience with Asana and/or Canva – a plus.

Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel – a plus.
