Position Overview
Impact Church Metro Detroit is seeking a creative, technically skilled, and spiritually grounded Video Production Coordinator to lead and develop all aspects of the church’s video and live production ministry. This individual will oversee live service production, produce engaging video content, and build and lead a healthy, excellence-driven production team culture.

The ideal candidate is passionate about using media and technology to help people encounter God and engage more deeply with the mission of the church. They should possess strong leadership abilities, experience with live production environments, and a commitment to developing volunteers while maintaining a high standard of creativity and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Volunteer Development

Lead, recruit, schedule, and develop the Production Dream Team volunteers.

Provide ongoing technical training, mentorship, and encouragement to volunteers to ensure a high standard of excellence in video production and livestreaming.

Build a strong team culture that fosters collaboration, growth, and alignment with the church’s vision.

Service Production Oversight

Oversee all technical aspects of live video production during worship services and major events, including:

Camera operations

Video switchers

ProPresenter slides and motion graphics

Livestream encoding platforms (e.g., Resi, OBS, YouTube, Facebook)

Ensure seamless integration between video, sound, lighting, and media components.

Equipment & Software Management

Operate and maintain all video and visual presentation systems.

Train volunteers to use systems such as ProPresenter, camera switchers, video encoders, and other related software/hardware.

Troubleshoot technical issues and manage upgrades or repairs as needed.

Collaborate with IT and AVL contractors when necessary.

Video Content Creation & Editing

Produce and edit video content for weekend services, ministry promotions, social media, and digital platforms.

Support various ministries (e.g., Youth, Kids, Outreach) by capturing and editing highlight reels, testimonies, announcements, and recap videos.

Manage or supervise freelance video editors or contractors when required.

Qualifications

Spiritual Alignment : A committed follower of Christ who supports the mission, values, and leadership of the church.

Experience : Experience in video production, media ministry, or a related field (church or studio setting preferred).

Technical Skills :

Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve)

ProPresenter, camera systems (Blackmagic, Sony, etc.), switchers (e.g., ATEM), and live stream platforms

Experience with multi-camera shoots and live broadcast setups

Leadership Abilities : Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills. Experience leading and training volunteers is highly valued.

Creative Eye : Ability to craft compelling video content that reflects the heart and excellence of the ministry.

Adaptability : Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and spiritually dynamic environment.

Work Schedule & Expectations

Must be available for multi-Sunday worship services, monthly Wednesday services, and special events (e.g., conferences, holiday services, funerals).

On-call availability may be required for urgent technical needs.

Some evening/weekend hours are expected.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

Degree or certification in Media, Film, Communications, or related field

Familiarity with church media strategy, digital marketing, or graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
