Minimum Qualifications
MSW, MFT, LCSW, or Psy D. in psychology, counseling, social work or related field; valid California clinical license: Licensed for 2 years or more preferred.
Minimum four years of experience in providing therapy with children, TAY and families in clinic and/or community-based social service program specific to emotionally disturbed children and adults.
Knowledge and skills in the areas of individual, group, and family therapy;
Experience with Department of Mental Health documentation and electronic health records system required;
Expertise in the coordination of intensive services both in a clinic and community setting is required, hospital experience is a plus
Two years' experience in the mental health field in supervising a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of Department of Mental Health regulations.
Job Summary
Under the supervision of EPI-LA Program Manager, coordinates and supervises clinical and programmatic PIER operations in close collaboration with the County EPI-LA team and the agency EPI, LA Team including psychiatric support provided by a Licensed Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Psychiatrist, ensuring compliance with contract and funding agreements. Implements adjustments to clinical operations in response to contractual, programmatic and/or internal policy changes. While carrying a limited caseload, oversees and monitors systems to ensure consistent and efficient daily clinical operations within EPI-LA Program. Participates in Statewide Early Psychosis Learning Health Care Network and Evaluation (EP Learning Network).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate development of the Program's multidisciplinary community outreach and mental health services Team ensuring its participation in community outreach per the EPI-LA model outlined in contractual requirements
Work in close collaboration with County EPI-LA team throughout the course of the program
Ensure EPI-LA team's participation in the Training Institute (PTI) trainings, consultation calls, webinars, fidelity reviews as required in order to maintain fidelity to PIER model at all times
Conduct EPI-LA team meetings twice a week to discuss screened clients, assign clients, discuss/review client treatment and progress, disposition of the case, coordinate outreach efforts
Provide individual and group supervision to assigned staff and provide field based supervision as needed; manage and oversee staff caseloads and ensure programmatic, clinical and contractual compliance and ensure services are based on the individual needs of each client
Coordinate and oversee service delivery by all staff assigned to each client including Case Management, Psychiatric and Psychotherapeutic therapy, Vocational/Educational, Peer and Community supports
Monitor monthly service objectives and progress on productivity goals to ensure program meets its fiscal contract requirements
Assure EN-LA Team and EP Liaison are available to the client and the County a minimum of eight hours a day with flexibility to be available some afternoon and/or evening appointment to accommodate clients' school and work schedules
Ensure staff productivity levels are met on a consistent basis
Oversee intake process and monitor documentation for new and existing clients to ensure timely completion of assessments, ISPs and all pertinent documentation
Ensure effective coordination of services for clients and families with both internal and external providers
Interface with DCFS, DMI-I, Probation, court systems, schools and other community liaisons to increase referrals and enhance seamless service coordination, whenever needed
Identify training needs and opportunities to ensure all program staff are appropriately trained to pre-established program requirements, as well as programmatic changes presented by DWI, DCFS and/or PD
Interview prospective staff for the open program's positions
Ensure data collection and outcome evaluation quality of services are gathered and submitted per EPI-LA model requirements
Work closely with Quality Assurance Director to ensure documentation requirements are met in the EPI-LA Program
Participate in managers' meetings, staff meetings, utilization review meetings and other agency-wide meetings as needed to provide information, ideas and suggestions that improve the quality of service delivery in the EPI-LA Program
Attend monthly Service Area Advisory Committee (SAAC) meetings and actively collaborate with EP Learning Network
Facilitate and maintain collaborative and supportive relationships with SPA 6 community organizations and attend meeting as appropriate following EPI-LA Program fidelity
Comply with Agency guidelines, policies and procedures
Comply with applicable professional licensing certification requirements and ethical standards
