Public Affairs Officer

You will serve as spokesperson to the local news media for command and its detachments, establishing effective working relationships with these organizations and maintaining regular contact with them.
You will create and pursue opportunities to participate in civic affairs that will help establish and improve the command position as an integral part of the local community.
You will direct publication of various brochures, handouts and articles that promote understanding of the command's mission by employees, local citizens and the Navy at large.
You will advise command senior military and civilian officials, other key staff members at all command sites, and tenant organizations on actions deemed to be in the best interest of the command PA program.
