Hello aspiring filmmakers! Apply today to be the production assistant behind my Superman short film! This short film is a recreation of a scene from Superman (2025) between Clark Kent and Lois Lane. The scene takes place in Lois' apartment as her and Clark conduct a mock interview before things go south fairly quickly. The script is available online, but I also have a copy of the specific scene that'll be utilized in this recreation.
To clarify, this project is being run by

a first-time filmmaker

(19-years-old) trying to make a name for himself. As the main actor, this will be my first official time being on any set with a crew, actor, and other members of a film set. As such, my inexperience will be shared with anyone who applies. Whether you're also a first-time filmmaker or someone who's worked in the industry before,

The details listed below describe your main responsibility onset and what you'll offer for being a part of this project.

Responsibilities
As director, you'll work in tandem with the entire crew to make this scene come to life. By handling on-set necessities daily, such as moving gear, helping reset props, grabbing food/water for crew, and doing whatever the main crew needs, you'll gain first-hand experience working on a set with >10 individuals. Your role will be greatly beneficial to this short film set, especially for moments where the main crew needs tasks handled that isn't possible to do themselves.
Here are some expected responsibilities outside of being the main director on set that are expected of all applicants:
Maintain a safe and work-friendly environment.
Dedicate yourself to the material as much as possible.
Be creatively intuned with the script and open to new ideas from the crew.
Conduct yourself with respect towards the actors, crew, and other set members.
Filming
The deadline for this application is

June 20th.

By that time, I will decide who the right production assistant is via email, LinkedIn, or a Zoom meeting depending on your applications.
I'd like principal photography to begin in July, with shooting happening on the weekends due to my summer schedule.
Due to the scene taking place in an apartment-style complex, we'll need to find a location near the University of Central Florida for shooting to take place in. The producer will do their best to find a location of best fit for this project.
Qualifications
This position is open to all talent that's willing to dedicate themselves entirely to making this the best recreation it can be. However, there are also a baseline of recommended qualifications to help you stand out.
A love for the Superman character, mythos, and media

(movies, comics, TV shows).

a passion project
