SUMMARY
The position of Drama Music Director assembles, instructs and produces the vocal and instrumental portion of the drama productions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Evaluate the musical scores to determine the level of difficulty for a successful performance.
- Audition and select singers and musicians.
- Rehearse and instruct vocal and instrumental musicians in the music production.
- Direct the vocal and instrumental portion of the production.
- Be responsible for the supervision of those involved in the vocal and instrumental portion of the production while in the building during rehearsals and performances.
- Be responsible for the acquisition and return of music, equipment, and materials needed for the vocal and instrumental portion of the production.
- Prepare audio tapes for the choreography and vocal parts.
- Rearrange and transpose vocal and instrumental music as needed.
