We act as an extension of our client’s staff to develop and implement strategies that mitigate risk and overcome challenges associated with managing energy data, supply, demand, and delivery infrastructure. Leveraging deep experience and resources, Priority delivers financial and operational improvements to our clients as their trusted energy advisors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a cross‑functional pod consisting of Salesforce administrators, developers, product owners, analysts, and support resources. Establish ownership across strategy, backlog, development, release management, and production support. Foster a collaborative and performance‑driven culture emphasizing service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a strategic partner to Sales Leadership, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Marketing. Translate commercial strategy into executable technology roadmaps. Facilitate prioritization decisions and manage tradeoffs between speed, scope, and sustainability. Partner with commercial leadership to define and track system and adoption metrics such as pipeline velocity, conversion rates, sales cycle time, forecast accuracy, and platform adoption.
  • Product Ownership: Own the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for Salesforce and supporting commercial applications (CPQ, contract management, commissions, integrations). Define and prioritize initiatives based on business value, revenue impact, operational efficiency, and technical health. Ensure platforms evolve to support new commercial products, acquisitions, and go‑to‑market strategies. Maintain high availability, performance, reliability, and SLA alignment.
  • Platform & Architecture Ownership: Provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to best practices in software development and system architecture. Serve as executive owner for Salesforce architecture, configuration, customization, and integrations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams (Commercial, Finance, Marketing) to ensure integration of commercial applications with existing systems.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in application delivery or product leadership.
  • 5+ years owning or leading Salesforce platforms at an enterprise level.
  • Proven experience leading product‑centric or platform teams with full lifecycle accountability.
  • Demonstrated success supporting sales‑driven organizations with complex commercial workflows.

Technical / Domain Expertise

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce (Sales Cloud, automation, integrations, data model).
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, commissions, contract management, and analytics platforms.
  • Strong grasp of Agile product delivery, backlog management, and value‑based prioritization.
  • Experience operating platforms in regulated or high‑availability environments.

Leadership & Communication

  • Strong leadership and team development skills with a history of building cohesive, high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience engaging executive leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills, with an ability to manage complexity and deliver measurable results.

Energy Experience

  • Experience in the energy sector, with knowledge of industry‑specific challenges, regulations, and business models.

Certifications

  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Advanced Admin, Product Owner, or Architect).

Business Process / Reporting

  • Expertise in identifying opportunities to streamline business processes through the development and implementation of technology solutions.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions and system consolidation.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, reporting, and sales performance metrics.
