About the Role:
The Outside Parts Sales position is a critical role focused on driving revenue growth by actively engaging with customers and promoting the sale of automotive or industrial parts outside of a traditional retail environment. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment. This position demands a proactive approach to sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while representing the company professionally. Ultimately, the role aims to expand the company’s market presence and contribute significantly to its overall sales objectives across the United States.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Proven experience in sales, preferably in parts sales, automotive, or industrial sectors.
Strong knowledge of parts, products, and the ability to understand technical specifications.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within assigned territories across the United States.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using CDK software and sales tracking tools.
Familiarity with inventory management and order processing systems.
Previous experience working in outside sales or field sales roles.
Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to develop strategic sales plans.
Additional certifications related to sales or the
automotive/industrial
parts industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to promote outside parts sales.
Conduct regular visits and communications with clients to understand their parts requirements and provide appropriate product recommendations.
Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets.
Coordinate with internal teams such as inventory, logistics, and customer service to ensure timely delivery and accurate order processing.
Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM tools.
Attend trade shows, industry events, and training sessions to stay informed about product developments and industry standards.
Skills:
