We’re looking for an experienced events marketing professional to build and run curated events for Samaya’s core audience: expert finance professionals who may use Samaya in their work to run their workflows and inform investment decisions.
You’ll have the opportunity to report directly to the Head of Marketing and help shape Samaya’s event strategy. You will own smaller‑format, high‑quality customer and executive experiences such as dinners, roundtables, and other intimate gatherings designed to build meaningful relationships with the right people.
The right candidate will be both strategic and hands‑on: someone with strong ideas, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate while operating independently. They should be highly organized, resourceful, and clear‑eyed about what makes an event successful and how to measure ROI – whether that means brand impact, relationship development, or direct revenue.
This role will start as a part‑time contract position, with an expected initial scope of around 20 hours per week. We see strong potential for it to grow into a full‑time role for the right person as the function and business continue to evolve.
Responsibilities
Own the program – own Samaya’s curated events program for priority audiences across the finance and investment ecosystems
Shape the strategy – work with leadership to shape the event strategy, including audience, guest mix, format, and desired outcomes
Lead end‑to‑end – lead events independently with limited day‑to‑day oversight, while keeping the Head of Marketing aligned on priorities, progress, and results
Partner cross‑functionally – with internal stakeholders to ensure events support broader marketing, GTM and business goals
Be in the details – manage venues, vendors, budgets, timelines, and logistics with rigor and resourcefulness
Measure what matters – define success metrics for each event and evaluate outcomes across both brand impact and business ROI
Experience
Required
Events experience – 7+ years of relevant experience in event marketing, customer events, or a closely related area
End‑to‑end ownership – track record of independently owning events end‑to‑end with minimal supervision
Strong communicator – both internally and externally communicate with examples of how you’d simultaneously handle executive requests from attendees, share important learnings internally and negotiate with vendors
Deeply organized – excellent organizational skills and attention to detail across many moving parts
Budget loving – you love a spreadsheet and have a breadth of experience managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and controlling costs effectively
Analytically minded – you know that events are not just vibes, you not only set and track success metrics, but also evaluate event effectiveness and ROI
AI‑fluent – demonstrated AI fluency in a concrete way, such as building, testing, or integrating AI‑driven workflows into how you work
Personal Attributes
Resourceful and proactive – you thrive in lean environments and you’ve never said “that’s not my job”
Curious – you take time to understand “why?” Not always because it’s required, but because you can’t help yourself
Sound judgment – you make good calls without close oversight and know when to escalate vs. just decide
Relationship‑driven – you’ve supported customer‑facing or relationship‑driven events for B2B companies and understand what makes those audiences happy
Player/Coach – comfort working across both thinking through strategy and at hands‑on execution
Finance‑curious – experience in finance is welcome; enthusiasm for the industry is what we’re really looking for
Compensation
The hourly rate for this role is $8,200–9,100/month, commensurate with experience.
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including experience and expertise, and the amounts listed above.
