Job Description
The Athletics Temporary Game Day will work with our Athletics Event Management and Communications units to cover duties at the table during home game competitions and special events. They will help cover all aspects of in-game operations and communications, focusing on assisting in game day operations.

Responsibilities

Managing game day functions such as scorekeeping, game statistics, shot clock, video board, and running game sheets to respective staff members and officials.

Set up, operate, and tear down DVSport system, monitor official replays, attend officials meeting, and train sideline techs on their roles.

Inspect sporting equipment and participant details, coordinate with officials, coaches, players, and facility staff, post score calculations on the scoreboard, track event times, and verify/convey them as required.

Record and input statistics during live play of sporting events; print hard copies of statistics during breaks for distribution to coaches, media, and others.

Announce players, coaches, institutional personnel, officials, and programs during the event, instruct and calm crowds during emergencies, and read prepared scripts.

Use effective communication skills, strong people skills, and work in a high energy, fast paced environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED.

One (1) year of experience in athletics.

Criminal Background Check Level 1.
