About the Position
3RD AVE is seeking a talented 3D Spatial Designer & Environmental Graphic Designer to join our growing team. This role combines spatial design, 3D modeling, rendering, graphic design, and production artwork development for experiential marketing activations, themed entertainment projects, exhibits, retail environments, branded spaces, and custom fabrication projects.

The ideal candidate can take a project from concept through presentation and support production by creating accurate models, compelling visuals, and fabrication‑ready graphic files.

Responsibilities

Develop 3D spatial concepts and layouts for experiential, themed entertainment, retail, exhibit, and fabrication projects.

Create detailed 3D models and blocking studies using SketchUp.

Produce high-quality renderings for client presentations and internal reviews.

Design and build client‑facing presentation decks and pitch materials.

Prepare production‑ready artwork and print files for signage, graphics, and fabrication applications.

Work closely with project managers, technical designers, fabricators, and production teams to ensure designs are practical and executable.

Interpret design briefs, site plans, drawing packages, and project requirements.

Support the development of fabrication and installation packages.

Participate in internal design reviews and client presentations as needed.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience in environmental design, experiential marketing, exhibit design, themed entertainment, retail design, architecture, or a related field.

Advanced proficiency in SketchUp.

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Experience with rendering software such as V‑Ray.

Strong understanding of spatial planning, scale, and environmental graphics.

Experience preparing print‑ready artwork and production files.

Strong presentation and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with fabrication shops, museums, theme parks, exhibits, retail environments, or experiential agencies.

Knowledge of large‑format printing, signage production, and environmental graphics.

Experience with construction drawings, fabrication methods, and material applications.

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, Twinmotion, or similar design software.
