Lead Conductor & Orchestral Studies Director

EKU Careers is seeking a full-time Director of Orchestral Studies for the School of Music at Eastern Kentucky University, starting in 2027-28. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate in Music or equivalent experience and proven skills in ensemble leadership.
This role emphasizes community engagement with local K-12 music programs and developing students' string pedagogy. Responsibilities include conducting the EKU Symphony Orchestra and mentoring students. Candidates should be prepared for active involvement in professional and artistic activities, contributing to the dynamic growth of the music program.
