Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Manager of Windows & Production to join the corporate Windows & Production Visual Merchandising team.
This leader will have comprehensive oversight of all administrative, production, and installation activities for the Americas zone along with dedicated budget management.
Windows
Collaborate with the VM Windows Team to plan and order window kits (5-6 per year) for all stores in LV Americas.
Oversee Maison installs on-site in partnership with the VM Windows Team, providing guidance on placement, lighting, and visuals to ensure alignment with Paris vision and LV standards.
Manage the processing of all orders with Paris production partners.
Coordinate communication for each order with the LVA VM team and all vendors.
Review estimates for each window, identify potential risks to finance, and collaborate with procurement.
Work with recycling partners on material removal and sustainability reporting for LVMH.
Manage end-of-life contracts for donations of window materials.
Partner with CR on window sales for VM end-of-life.
Missions
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project Lifecycle Management
Oversee the full lifecycle of visual merchandising installations and event productions, from ideation through installation, strike, and post-event analysis.
Manage and cultivate strong relationships with production vendors, fabricators, and suppliers.
Conduct thorough Request for Quote (RFQ) processes, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts for cost-effectiveness and quality.
Identify and onboard new vendors to expand capabilities and ensure competitive pricing.
Leverage existing vendor relationships within the production industry.
Production Planning & Execution
Develop detailed production schedules, critical paths, and project timelines.
Conduct site surveys to assess logistical requirements and inform planning.
Manage the estimate process, ensuring accuracy and budget alignment.
Oversee material testing and quality control for all production elements.
Ensure compliance with local building constraints, safety regulations, and permitting.
Budget Management
Compile comprehensive budget proposals, track expenditures, and manage financial aspects to ensure projects remain within budget.
Collaborate closely with creative teams, designers, and marketing stakeholders to translate vision into executable plans.
Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external vendors.
Photography & Documentation
Schedule and oversee photography sessions for completed installations and events, and compile detailed shot lists.
Problem Solving & Adaptability
Proactively identify potential production issues and develop innovative solutions.
Make executive decisions and pivot quickly on-site when unforeseen circumstances or challenges arise.
Profile
Proven experience in production management, preferably within Visual Merchandising, Events, Experiential Marketing, or a related field.
Demonstrable track record of managing complex projects from ideation to completion.
Skills & Knowledge
In-depth knowledge of production processes, materials (e.g., wood, metal, acrylic, textiles, lighting, AV), fabrication techniques, and installation methodologies.
Strong understanding of event scheduling, logistics, and on-site management.
Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, SmartSheet) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality results.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and make critical, on‑the‑spot executive decisions to navigate and resolve unexpected production challenges.
Flexibility & Travel
Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends, as dictated by project demands and event schedules.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time, often on short notice, to various production sites and event locations.
Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Production Management, Event Management, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Knowledge of sustainability practices in production and material sourcing.
Familiarity with permitting processes for installations and events in various jurisdictions.
Basic understanding of electrical requirements and safety standards for temporary installations.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
A keen eye for aesthetics and an understanding of design intent.
Technical Proficiency
Ability to navigate and interpret 3D files (e.g., CAD, SketchUp, Rhino) is a significant plus.
Successfully juggle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within USD $105,000 - $115,000 annually, comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long‑term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discounts/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.
Please note that restrictions may apply to part-time employees.
This position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
