Women's Activewear Technical Designer

Our client, an Activewear Brand, is seeking a

Technical Designer

to join their team Women's on a contract basis in their New York office.

Responsibilities:
Execute the technical design process from development to final fit.
Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications.
Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications.
Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.
Create CAD flats for tech packs.
Direct Assistant/ Associate Technical Designers.
Lead fittings and oversee fit comments.
Partner closely with the design team.

Requirements:
4-5+ years of

working experience

in Technical Design
Extensive knowledge of garment construction
Examples of tech packs or CAD flats
Technical fluency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel and PLM systems.
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Capable of maintaining organization while handling multiple projects & priorities
Strong time management & problem-solving skills
