Job Description
Senior Graphic Designer to assist the government with the following tasks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Candidate will need to provide a portfolio of their graphic design experience with resume.
- Develop graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products.
- Utilize request management tools to provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requests.
- Coordinate with UI/UX designer in Knowledge Management to ensure graphics products provide an engaging and user-friendly experience.
- Create graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products.
- Develop design concepts and implement designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content presented online.
- Ensure products conform to all production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances.
- Conduct technical quality checks.
- Manage an approved concept and build in HTML/CSS so it complies with responsive design principles.
- Provide cartography support, as needed, to design thematic and reference maps.
Required Education and Experience
- Requires BA/BS with 18 years of experience or no degree with 24 years of experience. Master’s degree with 10 years experience.
- Experience leading the development of graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products.
- Experience in photography and video editing.
- Mentor and train junior staff.
- Experience creating graphics products that provide engaging and user-friendly experience.
- Experience creating graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products.
- Experience developing design concepts and implementing designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content presented online.
- Experience ensuring products conform to all production standards, copy‑write laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances.
- Experience conducting technical quality checks.
