Account Manager, Group Sales
Start Date: September 1st, 2026.
Location Requirement
Applicants must live or be able to relocate to the State of Massachusetts or be within commutable distance of our Cambridge, MA office. Employees may work from home on Fridays and will be in the office Monday through Thursday.
About the Role
As an Account Manager, you will support Group Coordinators by helping them prepare trips, promote programs, and ensure smooth pre‑departure processes. You will manage key pre‑departure details, follow up on requests, and provide a high‑quality experience from enrollment to departure. You will begin as a Support Account Manager, gaining exposure to customers and sales skills, before moving into a full Account Manager role with ownership of your own customer portfolio.
Training and Development
You will have the opportunity to participate in the Sales Development Leadership Program, which provides training in sales, product development, marketing, and industry trends, as well as public speaking opportunities.
Key Tasks
Manage and grow group trips within your own book of business by building a repeat sales pipeline.
Encourage Group Coordinators to set up future tours and leverage recruitment best practices to increase group size.
Provide detailed information to travelers to set correct expectations before departure.
Serve as liaison between Group Coordinators and internal EF Go Ahead departments, initiating and following up on group requests.
Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of our products, processes, and internal systems.

Compensation
First‑year Account Managers earn up to $70,000 on target, with a base salary starting at $50,000 and $20,000 bonus potential. The bonus is uncapped for exceeding sales goals. After two years of successful performance you may be eligible for a promotion to Senior Tour Consultant with an on‑target earning potential of $95,000 ($65,000 base + $30,000 bonus potential).
