Schedule: Flexible; Monday, Wednesday, Friday preferred. Weekends and evenings as needed.

Job Summary Charleston Animal Society is seeking a creative and motivated Adoption Marketing Coordinator to help pets find loving homes through engaging social media storytelling.
This position splits time between our North Charleston and Moncks Corner campuses, creating daily adoption content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, photographer, and content creator who thrives in a fast-paced, animal-centered environment.
Responsibilities Create, edit, and publish daily adoption posts across social media platforms.
Photograph and film adoptable animals to highlight personality and increase adoption interest.
Write creative, accurate, and engaging captions aligned with organizational standards.
Monitor social media trends and develop fresh content ideas.
Assist with adoption marketing campaigns and maintain the social media content calendar.
Collaborate with staff and volunteers to gather animal stories and background information.
Support adoption promotions, fundraising campaigns, and organizational initiatives.
Ensure all content reflects Charleston Animal Society’s mission, brand voice, and values.
Handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications Experience with social media content creation (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
Strong writing, photography, and short-form video skills (Reels, TikTok, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working around cats and dogs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Reliable transportation to travel between North Charleston and Moncks Corner locations.
Flexible availability, including occasional weekends and evenings.
Requirements Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.
Ability to travel locally throughout Charleston and Berkeley Counties; occasional state or national travel may be required.
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Physical ability to walk, stand, move equipment and animals, and lift up to 50 pounds.
