Web Developer

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins

Customize themes and plugins to meet project requirements

Build responsive, mobile-friendly layouts

Ensure website performance, security, and scalability

Optimize websites for SEO and page speed

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve WordPress issues

Perform updates, backups, and ongoing maintenance

Implement clean UI/UX

Follow WordPress best practices and coding standards

Qualifications

Proven experience developing with WordPress

Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development

Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, etc.)

Experience with MySQL and WordPress databases

Understanding of website security and performance optimization

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Experience with WooCommerce and version control (Git)

AI productivity tool experience (Cursor, Antigravity, etc.)

Familiar with common WordPress plugins like Custom Post Types, Advanced Custom Fields

Able to work with integrations and APIs

GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console experience a plus

SEO experience a plus

Flexible schedule, able to work in Eastern time zone

Bachelor's degree in web development or related field; 5 years experience preferred
