Position Summary
We are looking for a Broadcast Engineer to support and maintain technical broadcast systems for the Eau Claire, WI and Rochester, MN markets. The role partners closely with on‑air, programming, and sales teams to ensure reliable, high‑quality broadcasts across both locations.
Responsibilities
Maintain analog and digital broadcast systems and equipment, including broadcast transmitters, studio consoles, satellite receivers, audio processors, site remote control and other audio equipment.
Respond to outages, malfunctions, and related technical problems.
Conduct testing, repair and replacement of all equipment used for radio station broadcasting.
Provide occasional support for PCs, network switches, SD‑WAN hardware, desktop hardware and selected software.
Document equipment maintenance, repair and replacements.
Use test equipment, parts and related tools needed for maintenance and repair.
Travel to other iHeartMedia locations to assist in equipment installation or troubleshooting.
Be available for on‑call service, including night and weekend work, to respond 24‑7.
Communicate effectively in writing and orally with on‑air staff, programming and sales departments.
Qualifications
Previous broadcast engineering experience is required.
Associate degree or greater in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Staff Band Engineer (SBE) certification is a plus.
Ability to climb ladders, work in small spaces and lift 50 pounds.
Personal vehicle (preferably 4x4). Mileage will be reimbursed.
Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Salary range: $32.80 – $41.00 hourly, determined by experience, skills and market data.
