Production Technician Associate - Weekend Night Shift

At GXO Logistics, our employees take pride in their work and show dedication to their job. As the Production Technician Associate, you will assemble trailer components and sub-assemblies, as well as perform quality inspections of components and sub-assemblies.

Typical Responsibilities

Identify and perform repetitive assembly of various trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions.

Safely utilize various measuring and inspection instruments.

Use various power and hand tools in a safe manner.

Work with a variety of materials, including steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils and abrasives.

Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards.

Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within the department.

Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform various physical tasks (reach, climb, bend, etc.).

Work outside on occasion.

Required Qualifications

High degree of technical skills and assembling techniques.

Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow job orders and work procedures.

Ability to perform work in a manufacturing environment.

Proof of ability to collaborate and support team members.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing conditions and expectations.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent work or military experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience with proven track record in a warehouse environment.

Availability to travel more than 75% of the time.

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs.

Work outside on occasion.

Reach (including above head).

Safely walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, kneel.

Visually adjust focus; require depth perception and close vision capabilities.
