Director Sr - Internal Communication (Global)

ProAmpac Security Products Limited · Franklin Park, IL, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

Description
Sr. Director, Global Internal Communications
Help Shape the Voice of a Growing Global Manufacturing Organization

At ProAmpac, communication is more than messaging — it’s how we connect people across plants, regions, cultures, and businesses to drive alignment, engagement, and transformation.

We’re seeking a strategic, influential Sr Director of Global Internal Communications to lead enterprise‑wide communication strategy during a period of rapid growth, integration, and organizational evolution.

This role is ideal for a communications leader who thrives in complexity, advises executives with confidence, unifies fragmented messaging, and builds communication experiences that strengthen trust and engagement across a global manufacturing organization.

What You’ll Lead
As the enterprise communications leader, you will shape and elevate internal communications strategy while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.

You will:

Develop and lead a global internal communications strategy aligned to business priorities, culture, and organizational transformation

Partner directly with executive leadership on messaging, visibility, change communications, and employee engagement

Lead communication strategy for enterprise initiatives including acquisitions, integrations, restructuring, and large‑scale organizational change

Establish communication governance, channel strategy, enterprise standards, and approval processes

Create consistent messaging frameworks that connect employees across functions, regions, facilities, and stakeholder groups

Strengthen employee listening, recognition communications, engagement initiatives, and communication measurement practices

Advise leadership on sensitive or high‑impact communication matters with sound judgment and business awareness

Improve the maturity and scalability of the internal communications function through process discipline and leadership enablement

Partner cross‑functionally with HR, Operations, Commercial, and Executive teams to drive enterprise alignment

What Makes This Role Different
This is not a tactical communications role.

This is an opportunity to architect how communication supports a rapidly growing global enterprise operating in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will help create clarity during transformation, strengthen culture across diverse teams, and ensure employees feel informed, connected, and aligned to the company’s direction. You’ll influence communication strategy at the highest levels while helping shape the future of a global business.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a polished, strategic communicator who combines executive presence with operational discipline and the ability to influence across a complex organization.

Ideal candidates bring:

8+ years of progressive internal communications, corporate communications, or employee engagement leadership experience

Experience supporting large, multi‑site or global organizations — ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments

Proven success leading communication strategies during organizational change, acquisitions, integrations, or transformation initiatives

Experience advising senior and executive leadership teams

Strong communication governance, messaging architecture, and change communications expertise

Ability to balance strategic vision with execution and operational follow‑through

Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

Strong business acumen, judgment, and ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion

Experience leading or influencing multi‑cultural teams across regions or countries

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred

Why Join ProAmpac
At ProAmpac, we’re building more than packaging solutions — we’re building a culture centered on innovation, collaboration, operational excellence, and long‑term growth.

You’ll join a company where your work has visible enterprise impact and where communication plays a critical role in shaping the employee experience across a global organization.
