SUMMARY
The Brand & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for building and communicating the credit union’s brand through marketing, community engagement and business development initiatives.

This position orchestrates the organization’s media and member engagement activities. This includes working with outside vendors and consultants to present NW Plus CU stories and media engagements, creating and publishing organic social media content, executing charitable fundraisers, organizing and attending community events, planning and executing member engagement activities, and overseeing online reviews for the credit union, and partnering with members of the Leadership Team to proactivity engage small businesses, community groups, and select organizations to attract new members and increase the use of credit union products and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Understand, internalize and live the NW Plus CU Mission, Vision, Values and Service Promises

Must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time

Work with vendors and consultants to identify and pitch brand-relevant stories to local media outlets.

Participate in media interviews as deemed appropriate

Oversee the organic content published to the NW Plus CU social media channels

Coordinate NW Plus CU-sponsored charitable fundraising campaigns

Represent the credit union at community meetings and events

Business development collaboration with the members of the Leadership team to engage select groups, organizations and businesses.

Identify, organize and execute member engagement activities

Cultivate positive relationships with relevant community partners in Snohomish and Skagit Counties (example, Everett Community College and Skagit Community College)

Oversee solicitation of and response to online reviews for the credit union’s branches

Participate in the planning and execution of the NW Plus CU annual member meeting

Other tasks and duties as assigned

Education and Skills Required
Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

At least 2 years of experience in Public Relations, Marketing, Community Engagement or similar field preferred.

Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate with people at all levels inside and out of the organization

Business/Relationship building experience and comfortable conducting outreach to organizations and businesses

Must be comfortable participating in broadcast interviews and speaking in front of in-person groups.

Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends

Proficient in creating and publishing effective organic content for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn

Ability to identify opportunities and act upon them to produce results

Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously

Commitment to understanding industry advertising regulations by pursing credit union and self-initiated trainings and market research

Work closely and professionally with NW Plus CU vendors
