This role is ideal for a detail-oriented videographer passionate about capturing live events and storytelling through video. You will be responsible for documenting the ASTRA Toy Fair in Milwaukee, WI, focusing on new toy launches and interactions with manufacturers. The position is on-site for one day between June 5-8, supporting the completion of a long-term documentary project about toy makers. You will collaborate closely with the project lead to ensure all necessary footage is captured, releases are obtained, and information is distributed to participants.
Responsibilities
Capture high-quality video footage of new toys and exhibitor booths at the ASTRA Toy Fair
Conduct brief on-camera interviews with toy manufacturers and event participants as needed
Ensure all necessary release forms are signed by individuals featured in the footage
Distribute information flyers to toy manufacturers and exhibitors
Assist with basic sound recording and camera setup/breakdown
Support administrative tasks related to footage organization and documentation
Coordinate with the project lead to meet the documentary’s creative and technical requirements
Skills And Requirements
Experience operating professional video cameras and audio equipment
Strong understanding of event videography and on-site production workflows
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, live event environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with event participants
Attention to detail in capturing releases and managing administrative tasks
Availability to work on-site in Milwaukee, WI, on one day between June 5-8
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow creative direction
Previous experience with documentary or event videography is a plus
