Overview Position: Social Media Strategist – Entry level to mid level. Location: La Porte, IN (Hybrid schedule: remote Mondays and Fridays; in-office Tuesday through Thursday).
Role: Develops and executes social media strategies to build authentic consumer connections and strengthen brand engagement across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms. Serves as the voice of the brand, creating engaging content that resonates with consumers while maintaining brand integrity and company values. Works with Marketing, Ecommerce, and Sales teams to deliver consistent consumer communication and brand experiences across digital touchpoints.

Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic plans for brands and coordinate, manage, and post monthly social media plans.
Monitor day-to-day social listening and consumer sentiment; engage with brand communities daily and respond to fans across channels.
Collaborate with the creative team to develop brand positioning concepts for online campaigns; manage monthly social media advertising budgets and communicate changes and invoice details to internal teams.
Identify trends, opportunities for brand involvement, and deliver positive consumer experiences through creative content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
Build engagement with online communities, including evaluating third-party partnerships and current agencies.
Develop, track, and measure brand KPIs and goals; create social media slides to share plans and results with rationale.
Travel to events to capture real-time content; utilize social media monitoring software to manage real-time communications and provide actionable insights.
Analyze data from monitoring tools and produce reports to inform decisions; monitor competitor movements and contribute to strategy development.
Work with Brand Team to develop co-promotions and partnerships; coordinate content distribution across channels and measure success.
Monitor communities for appropriate user-generated content; collaborate with Finance/Accounting on POs and contracts for service providers and agencies; manage social budget lines with brand teams.
Manage contest prizes and fulfillment for social events; establish and refine community engagement best practices in coordination with Marketing.
Capture content opportunities during events, launches, or campaigns; maintain organized digital assets and campaign documentation.
Daily Responsibilities Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content across all social platforms; maintain the content calendar for timely, on-brand communication.
Create captions, posts, stories, reels, and short-form video concepts aligned with brand voice and objectives; monitor channels daily and engage with consumers.
Identify trends and cultural moments to create relevant content opportunities; collaborate with Marketing, Ecommerce, Sales, and Creative teams on campaigns and launches.
Coordinate contests, giveaways, influencer collaborations, and user-generated content initiatives; monitor brand sentiment and escalate concerns or opportunities as needed.
Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth, conversions); optimize strategies based on analytics and insights.
Assist in managing paid social campaigns; ensure content aligns with brand standards and values; stay updated on platform changes and best practices.
Capture real-time content opportunities during events; maintain organized digital assets and documentation.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience managing social media platforms for consumer brands, agencies, or lifestyle brands.
Proven experience developing and executing social media strategies across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
Strong understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, audience engagement, and best practices.
Experience creating and managing content calendars and coordinating cross-functional campaigns.
Demonstrated ability to write compelling, on-brand copy with strong tone, voice, and storytelling.
Experience with short-form video content, influencer collaborations, contests, and community management.
Familiarity with paid social advertising and campaign performance metrics (preferred).
Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics).
Ability to analyze engagement and performance data to optimize content and campaigns; strong organizational and multi-project management skills.
