Transaction Services (TS) is part of ING’s Wholesale Banking division and operates globally with daily banking related products such as Working Capital Solutions (Supply Chain Finance and Receivable Finance), Trade Finance Solutions, Payments & Cash Management, and Liquidity Management Solutions like cash pooling, virtual cash management or solutions offered via our Cash Pooling solutions from subsidiary Bank Mendez Gans.

With strong domestic presences in many European countries, ING has developed into a leading player in European Transaction Banking and has a growing footprint in the US.

To further expand its international franchise, ING is looking for a Vice President, Transaction Services Trade.

About the position
ING in the Americas is focused on managing and expanding the global relationship with multinational US corporate clients and prospects, offering the complete suite of ING corporate banking and treasury products across our international network – with a natural focus on Europe. Clients vary from large US stock listed companies, with revenues of over USD 2bn, a considerable business footprint in Europe and an investment grade / cross-over credit profile or smaller clients that are serviced in one of the sector specific teams.

As a Transaction Services (TS) Cash Consultant, you will focus on Payments & Cash Management, Liquidity Management and Corporate Card solutions to ING’s Wholesale Banking clients. Main focus will be on European treasury solutions that will add value to our clients.

The US Corporate Clients team is focused on managing and expanding the global relationship with multinational US corporate clients and prospects, offering the complete suite of ING corporate banking and treasury products across our international network –with a natural focus on Europe. The US corporate clients are typically large US stock listed companies, with revenues of over USD 2bn, a considerable business footprint in Europe and an investment grade/ cross-over credit profile.

Responsibilities
Together with the Client Relationship Manager you will:

Drive new business by pitching to prospects

Expand network business by deepening existing relationships

Drive TS cross-sell by spotting opportunities

Manage all internal stakeholders across the network

Manage the TS relationship, acting as trusted Payments and Cash Management consultant, proactively providing advice on the latest market developments

Develop Cash & Liquidity Management relationships at Cash Manager/Treasurer level

Own the TS P&L, growing the business

Negotiate and close TS deals, acting as deal captain

Coordinate the respond to RFP’s

Owning product implementations, providing optimal solutions to our clients

Qualifications and Competencies
Qualifications / Education:

BS or MS degree, MS degree is preferred

Experience / Knowledge:

At least 5 years of working experience with treasury products

Track record in origination of transactions, as well as client on-boarding

Relevant deal team and transaction execution experience

Strong understanding of the products, business drivers and product capabilities

Competencies:

Demonstrated consultative selling, origination and pitching skills

Customer focus with strong business acumen, drive and achievement motivation

Self-starter with proactive and creative mindset, able to build-out local TS platform

Solid analytical, judgment and problem solving skills

Strong English written and verbal communication skills

Collaborative working style, effective team player

Salary Range

$153,000-$193,000

The salary range listed reflects base salary only. This role is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus program.
