Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Graphic/Pre-Production Artist based in Houston, TX. The role involves creating high-quality graphic designs, managing pre-production tasks, and preparing artwork for various engraving and marking projects.


We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Graphic / Production Artist to join our industrial print shop. In this role, you won’t just be making things look good—you will be the critical bridge between creative design and flawless physical execution. You will take raw artwork from clients, troubleshoot files for production viability, and set up precise layouts for our industrial printing equipment.

The ideal candidate has a razor-sharp eye for detail, and a deep understanding of the technical side of print manufacturing.



Qualifications

  • Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro) and Corel Draw
  • Technical Print Knowledge: Solid understanding of bleeds, margins, trapping, imposition, resolution 
  • Substrate Savvy: Familiarity with how ink interacts with various industrial materials (metals, plastics, acrylics, textiles, or heavy cardstock).
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot a typo, a missing font, or a color mismatch from a mile away.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical-thinking skills to resolve file errors efficiently without delaying production schedules.
  • Strong skills in Art and Design, with an eye for detail and creativity
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Prior experience in engraving, printing, or manufacturing industries is a plus

Bonus Qualifications

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Print Management, or a related field.
