Leon Cycle was founded in Germany in 2014 and has since expanded its global footprint across Spain, the United States, Australia, France, and Canada.
Our mission is to design, manufacture, and distribute high-quality electric bicycles through multiple channels, including direct-to-consumer e-commerce and authorized dealer networks.
Our flagship in-house brands, NCM and ET.cycle, offer a wide range of e-bikes, including mountain, urban, and folding models, serving both recreational and daily commuting needs.
Role Overview
Leon Cycle is seeking a Managing Director to lead and scale our business in North America. This role carries full P&L responsibility and end-to-end accountability for all NA operations.
The Managing Director will oversee B2C and B2B sales, warehouse and logistics operations, customer service, personnel management, and overall operational performance, acting as the primary decision-maker for the NA market.
Key Responsibilities
- Full ownership of P&L, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability
- Lead and scale both B2C (e-commerce) and B2B (dealer / key accounts) businesses
- Recruit, develop, and manage sales managers and key leadership roles across regions and business lines
- Oversee warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, and last-mile delivery performance
- Manage the new office and operations in New Jersey
- Build, lead, and motivate cross-functional teams including sales, customer service, operations, technicians, and warehouse staff
- Act as the primary decision-maker in resolving operational, supply chain, logistics, customer service, and sales challenges
- Drive execution of strategic initiatives in alignment with global headquarters while adapting to local market conditions
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
- 15+ years of senior management experience in B2C and B2B environments, ideally within e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods
- Proven experience managing large accounts, online retail operations, and multi-channel sales
- Strong background in leading sales, customer service, logistics, warehouse operations, and technical / mechanical teams
- Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and turning around businesses; entrepreneurial experience is highly valued
- Strong sense of ownership with the confidence to make decisive, data-driven decisions
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, target-driven, high-accountability environment
- Ability to inspire, influence, and lead managers and frontline teams, fostering a performance-driven and collaborative culture
- Must reside in New Jersey or be willing to relocate prior to employment
