Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

The Production Technician supports the full-scale manufacturing of modular home components by performing assembly and secondary operations across multiple departments. This role involves hands-on production work using hand and power tools to build, fit, and finish parts that meet quality and safety standards in a clean, organized manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform assembly of modular home parts and components according to work instructions and production standards.

Support secondary operations in departments such as paint, beams and walls, glass and windows, and electrical as production needs require.

Use hand tools and other equipment safely and effectively to assemble, fasten, and adjust parts.

Handle materials and components that may require heavy lifting and safe material handling practices.

Follow manufacturing and production processes to maintain consistent quality and output.

Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all site safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and cycle times for assigned tasks.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve basic assembly or production issues.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and cared for.

Participate in any required on-site testing or skills assessments related to manufacturing and assembly.

Essential Skills

Previous manufacturing and production experience in a hands-on environment.

Proficiency using hand tools for assembly and general production tasks.

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how parts fit and work together.

Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily production activities.

Strong attendance, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Understanding and application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and meet production goals.

Willingness to complete a short manufacturing test as part of the interview process.

Ability to successfully complete background screening requirements.

Ability to work onsite under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Comfort working across multiple departments such as paint, beams/walls, glass/windows, and electrical.

Experience in a modular construction, homebuilding, or similar assembly environment is beneficial.

Strong problem-solving mindset, including basic production math and time management (for example, calculating time per part to meet daily quotas).

Flexibility to adapt to evolving processes and a growing production operation.

Interest in contributing to the build-out of a new or expanding manufacturing team.

Work Environment

The role is based on a large manufacturing floor with organized, clean workspaces equipped with new tools and machinery. The standard schedule is a first-shift role from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will work closely with production teams across multiple departments in a structured, process-driven environment that emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. Office areas feature a modern, start-up style atmosphere with well-appointed break rooms, free snacks, and a free lunch provided once a week. All work is performed onsite under an NDA, with clear production expectations and supportive supervision to help you succeed in the role.

This is a Contract position based out of Gardena, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
