Position Overview:
This Graphic Designer role will primarily focus on email creation, testing, and development as well as web & social communications under the guidance of a Lead Designer and Project Coordinator. Other important functions include general graphic design layout and creative executions.
This role operates in a fast-paced, production-driven environment with shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and high visibility. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adapting quickly and producing high-quality work under pressure. In addition, this role plays an important part in helping the Creative team grow as a strategic partner, contributing to the overall success of Ollie's.
Primary Responsibilities:
Produce high volumes of emails utilizing Adobe InDesign and a drag and drop HTML email editor
General graphic design layout and other potential creative executions across web, digital and print
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet all deadlines
Develop creative assets and other visual elements for email content
Seek opportunities to improve email design strategies and processes
Stay up to date on current email design trends and best practices
Maintain brand consistency through all communications
Keep cognizant of overall Marketing and Business objectives with each project
Work with many stakeholders through proofing process, translating given product offer information into functional email deliverables
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
2+ years of experience in email or digital production
Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign
Proficiency in MacOS, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator
Basic knowledge of HTML preferred
Experience with retail marketing or advertising preferred
Retail email marketing experience is a plus
Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage changing priorities and workloads
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and outcomes
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for an extended period.
Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
Ability to bend and twist occasionally.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
